Rules
Kees Canada Cup will follow WTF Olympic Style Rules with the exception of:
NO FACE KICKS ALLOWED IN THE FOLLOWING SPARRING DIVISIONS
• Colour Belts (children & adults)
• Junior Black Belts 12 years old & under
• Adult Executive Divisions (30 years & over)
EQUIPMENT:
• Athletes must provide and wear ALL sparring equipment including: helmet, shin & feet protectors, arm pads, new-style gloves, chest protector, mouthguards, and groin protectors for male competitors
• No sparring equipment will be provided.
ID BADGES and WEIGH IN: ID pick-up and weigh in on Friday,
June 5th, 2009 from 3-10pm. Each participant will be required to show photo
identification (driver's licence, student card, other official ID) to check-in.
For children, parent or guardian must be with child for ID pick-up ad Weigh
in. Once you receive your ID card, you will then proceed to weigh-in and get
measured for height. There will be a $5 charge to replace a lost ID card.
Athletes competing in only poomse and/or weapons divisions are not required to weigh-in.
ACCESS RESTRICTIONS: Access to the competition floor is restricted
to:
i) Competing athletes
ii) Accredited coaches
iii) Accredited officials
iv) Accredited VIPs
NOTE: Positive sportsmanship and conduct is expected at all times. Kees Canada Cup has a zero-tolerance policy towards acts of disrespect or poor conduct. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to disqualify, refuse admission or remove anyone who does not abide by the rules.
